Angkor Wat/ The killing Fields

This post will be about my experience To Cambodia.
To explain a little more about myself i am a 20 year old lady who is studying abroad in Thailand. So i am never traveling alone and usually end up seeing the whole school at the same places. My trip to Cambodia was very short! I spent exactly three days there and got to see everything i wanted.
My itenerary:
Friday morning: 9 am Leave Patum Thani to Bkk Mochit Bus Station
Arrived to Siam Reap Friday afternoon.
Saurday Morning" 4:30 am sunrise at Angkor Wat adn saw all the temples
leave Satuday night on the overnight bus to Phnom Penn
Sunday morning: arrived to Phnom Penn and went to Toul Seng Museum and KIlling Fields.

More details about this trip in those three days i spent about 200 dollars including all my transportation modes and i bought a lot of souvenirs and spent a lot of money at the bar. But if you do no drink or buy any souvenirs you will spent 50 dollars less. Keep in mind i was also traveling with 3 more females so we would split a triple or double rooms.

I live in Patum thani which is 45 mins North of Bkk 30 mins away from Mochit. I took a bus to Aranyaprathet the border for 207 baht.
This was a 5 hour comfortable ride. There was a toilet on the bus which was not a problem. Arriving to the border we had to take a tuk tuk for 60 baht since the bus left us a distance away. The tuk tuk tried to take us to a visa place and we insited to take me to the border since the rip you off and the tuk tuk gets a profit. Ingore everyone offering a visa!!! Pass Thai immigration and half way in between there is a visa on arrival...I paid 25 dollars for my 30 day single entry visa.

I then walked my way to the Cambodia Border Control. Everythig took about 15 mins. After that we had to get a ride to Phnom Penn it was getting dark so we settled for an expensive taxi ride for 40 dollars total! very expensive do not spend this much!

Poipet(the border) to Siam Reap took about 3 hours. We knew we were going to stay at the Green Town Guest House. 9 Dollars for three beds, cold water, fa, free internet and good deals for transporation and tuk tuks. That very same night we went to Pub Street and spent a great time at Angkor Wat??? like Angkor What?! A bar with great music and a bunch of backpackers. Tequilla shots for 1.50! and t shirts for 5 dolars or buy two buckts get a t shirt for free. Look for M

we slep for an hour then went to Angkor Wwat at 4:30 am. We saw a beautiful surise and went to all the temples. We arraged a tuk tuk for 15 dollars the whole day. We each payed 5 dollars. We went home after sunrise and took a long nap until we had to leave for out over night train. We had friends who were goignt o take over our room so we got to shower and nap before we left. The overnight vip bus was 12 dollars each. We got blankets and bottled water. Our bus left at midnight.

We arrived to Phnom Penn at 6 am. Took a tuk tuk for 4 dollars to our guest house Nirana2. Took a nap and at 11 went to Toul Seng Museum and then the killing fields. The entrance to both places are 2 dollars. At the museum they show a movie at 10am and 3 pm. Definately wait for the guide he is worthe it and you give whatever donation you want. Go to the museum beofre you go to the killing fields. Over all we spent 3 hours there. WE also arranged a tukt uk to take us to both places for 10 dollars.

From our hostel we got a bus for the next day at 6:45 am to Bkk for 16 dollars!

Great trip!
